Are you feeling frustrated trying to get your kids to go to school?
A friend of mine recently shared her struggles with getting her kids to enjoy school. She said it reminded her of her own childhood, when she didn’t want to go to school either.
At first, I didn’t really get it because I was always eager to go to school. I couldn’t understand why some people disliked it. But as I thought more about it, I realized that I also tended to dislike things my parents didn’t enjoy. It wasn’t really the activities I disliked — it was the stress and negative energy my parents brought to them. I wasn’t rejecting the task itself, but the bad vibes that came with it.
I shared with my friend that as parents, gardeners, or business owners, it’s important to be mindful of the emotions and energy we bring to things we don’t like. Our feelings can influence those around us and create lasting patterns.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that anyone responsible for others should work on building inner strength each day, no matter what’s going on. As our inner strength grows, we create more harmony, flow, and joy in the people around us. This helps make our families, teams, and even the world a happier and more productive place.
The photo below is of me in the Saint-Léonard Cave. I got all my bravery for exploring nature from my dad. He was the bravest person in my childhood when it came to adventure and discovering the outdoors. I am very thankful to him for passing on this amazing trait, which has brought so much joy and happiness to my life.
