The Biggest Celebration

If you’re someone who reads books, listens to podcasts, or works with a life coach or mentor to grow and move forward in life, you may have experienced a moment when their guidance no longer feels helpful. It’s as if they’ve given you everything they can, and their ability to support you has reached its limit. At first, this can feel sad or even unsettling because you’ve grown used to their help, and it’s hard to accept that this chapter has come to an end.

But this isn’t a bad thing at all. In fact, it’s something to celebrate. It means you’ve successfully graduated from that stage in your life, thanks to their support. To me, one of the greatest celebrations we can experience is graduating from a step on our life’s path.

I began my self-development journey nearly 20 years ago. My first sources of guidance were Deepak Chopra’s books and my first yoga teacher. Later, Brian Tracy’s books became my daily companions. Over time, I worked with several life coaches, each of whom helped me discover my path and take important steps forward.

At some point, though, I realized that each of these sources had given me all they could. When that happened, I expressed my gratitude, said goodbye, and continued on my own until the next source of support appeared.

At the end of 2024, I graduated from my most recent life coach. She had helped me make incredible internal changes, but for the past year, her guidance could no longer move me forward. It was hard to accept this at first because so many wonderful things had happened with her help. But then I remembered: every source of guidance reaches its natural end, signaling the completion of a step.

I’ve been celebrating this graduation over the past few days, and I feel proud of myself for staying committed to this step, even when it was deep and challenging.

I wanted to share this with you to remind you: if a book, person, or other source of guidance that once helped you is no longer working, don’t be sad. Be proud of yourself. You’ve graduated from one stage, and that’s a big reason to celebrate! You stayed dedicated, completed that chapter, and are now ready for the next source of support to appear.

Happy New Year to all of you! I wish 2025 brings you the joy of celebrating your own graduation from your current stage of your life or introduces you to the next source of guidance on your life journey.
